Ingredients: 1 medium onion 1/2 bunch chopped parsley 1/2 bunch chopped cilantro 2 slices of fresh lemon (seedless) 2 garlic cloves (chopped) 1 lb. salmon (cut into cubes) 1 tbsp. Istanbul salad seasoning 1/2 tsp salt 1 tbsp. olive oil 1/8 tsp cayenne chili powder (optional)
Place onion, parsley, cilantro, lemon and garlic into a food processor and pulse for a few minutes. Please make sure not to puree - keep the texture slightly coarse.
2/3 of the salmon go in the food processor - texture should be coarse and not pureed. The other 1/3 you leave in the small cubes in size of your liking.
combine everything together and use a little olive oil to rub over hands in order to shape the burger patties (this helps to use less oil when grilling). Place 1 tbsp. of olive oil on a nonstick pan. Grill the fish patties on medium-high heat. Uncover for a few minutes on each side.
Make a simple burger using your favorite veggies and condiments such as, mustard and mayonnaise. Shuli likes to add theharissa spice mix to the mayo for extra flavor.
