Homemade Spanish Tomato Pasta Sauce

  1. Sauté Onions:

    • Heat olive oil in a flat nonstick pan over medium heat.
    • Add the chopped onion and sauté for 10 minutes until slightly brown.
  2. Add Garlic:

    • Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Cook Tomatoes:

    • Incorporate the chopped Roma tomatoes into the pan and continue to sauté until they begin to soften.
  4. Season:

    • Sprinkle in the Spanish paprika, dried basil, granulated onion, granulated garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and oregano leaves.
    • Mix well to evenly distribute the spices.
  5. Simmer:

    • Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low.
    • Let the sauce simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Cool and Blend:

    • Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool for 15 minutes.
    • Transfer the sauce to a blender and purée until smooth.
  7. Serve:

    • Spoon the freshly made tomato sauce over your favorite cooked pasta.
    • Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese for an extra touch of flavor.
