Easy Homemade Tahini Paste

This recipe offers a starting point for you to craft your own tahini condiment.


(Makes about 4/5 cup)

1/2 cup tahini of your choice (it is sold as either a thick paste or a more liquid, runny version)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/3 cup water
1 clove garlic, minced
2 1/2 Tbs. Whole Spice Tahini Seasoning
Salt and pepper, optional/to taste


Place the tahini paste in a small bowl, add lemon juice and mix well. You will notice that the color of the paste turning from brown to light cream as you add the liquid.
Add water, a little at the time, and mix well before you add more water.
Continue until all the water is absorbed and and the mixture has a creamy texture.
Add minced garlic, Tahini Seasoning and salt and pepper, if using.
Mix together gently and serve with fresh vegetables.
