
Saffron Rice
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- A pinch of Saffron Threads
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 1/2 cups water
Instructions

In a non-stick saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the turmeric and saffron and sauté for about 20 seconds, just until fragrant.

Add the basmati rice and gently stir to coat. Cook for about 30 seconds, until the rice turns a light golden yellow.

Add the salt and water. Bring to a boil.

Once boiling, cover and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 18–20 minutes, until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff gently with a fork before serving.
