Turkish Coffee

The Turkish tasted their first coffee in the 16th century, dubbing it "the milk of chess players and thinkers."

(Makes 1 cup)

1 cup water
1 tsp. Turkish coffee (available at Middle Eastern markets) or 2 tsp. for very strong coffee
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. green cardamom powder or 2 pods green cardamom

Using a Turkish coffee pot or the smallest saucepan you have, heat water on high.
Before water boils, add remaining ingredients.
Bring to full boil, remove from heat and serve immediately.
