Simple Hummus

(Serves 6-8)

Ingredients:
1 can garbanzo beans, drained, liquid reserved for use in recipe
2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
1/8 tsp. freshly ground cumin
3 Tbs. tahini paste
salt to taste
1/2 clove of garlic, minced

In a food processor combine beans, lemon juice, cumin, salt and garlic, and add half of the garbanzo beans liquid. Process until smooth. Last, add tahini paste and blend until flavored and thickened.

Spoon into serving dish and drizzle with olive oil. You can sprinkle with toasted pine nuts or any of the following spices: Zhug, Harissa, California chili, or Marash chili.

Cook's note: Please add the remaining liquid gradually until consistency is smooth and creamy.
