Ingredients: Licorice Stick.
Description: Licorice comes from the root of a legume native to southern Europe, India and parts of Asia. Licorice flavor is used in a wide variety of candies and sweets. (In most of these candies, the taste is reinforced by aniseed oil so the actual content of licorice is very low.) In Syria and Egypt, licorice is sold as a drink. In Italy, unsweetened licorice is consumed in the form of small black pieces made only from 100% licorice extract. Dried licorice can be chewed as a sweet and can be used by brewers to flavor and color the class of beers known as porter.
