These sticks come from the species Cinnamomum burmanii (also known as cassia) and are cultivated in countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. This well-known spice comes from a type of evergreen tree. Use in puddings, cakes, cookies, breads, drinks, curries, meat and game, stews, vegetables, and stewed fruits.
