Spicy Hot Cocoa

Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a jar or large bowl, combine the cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Blend well: Use a sifter or a whisk to mix everything together thoroughly. You can also shake the ingredients in a jar to combine.
  3. Prepare your hot chocolate: When you're ready to make the drink, add 2-3 tablespoons of the spice mix (or to taste) to a saucepan of your preferred milk or milk substitute.
  4. Heat: Warm the milk and spice mix over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot (but not boiling).
  5. Serve: Pour the hot chocolate into cups and enjoy! The cayenne adds a subtle kick that balances the sweetness of the sugar and the richness of the cocoa.

Tip: Adjust the amount of spice mix depending on how strong you want the flavor.

Enjoy this spicy, cozy drink!
