Puya Chili Whole

Ingredients: Puya Chili.

Description: Puya is similar to the guajillo pepper, but smaller and hotter. Often used for its fruity-like flavor, rather than its flesh, great when pureed, mashed or diced, and then made into a sauce. It may be soaked in water to pull out the flavor, and then the water can be used as an additive to the dish. Puya can be used as a pizza topping, or with meat, fish and poultry dishes.
